PRIVACY

Your information,
in plain words.

How Edge of the Lake Vineyard & Winery collects, uses and protects what you share with us, and how to ask us to delete it. Last updated October 24, 2026.

Who we are

Edge of the Lake Vineyard & Winery is a family-owned winery at 920 County Road 231, Valley View, Texas 76272. This policy covers our website, edgeofthelakevineyard.com, our tasting room, our wine club, and the emails and messages we send. Questions about it go to reservations@eotlvineyard.com or 940-726-3785.

What we collect

When you reserve, buy or join. Your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, your date of birth where the law requires us to confirm you are 21 or older, the reservations you make, what you buy, and your club choices. Card details go straight to our payment processor; we never see or store your full card number.

When you contact us or sign up for news. What you send us in a form, email or message, and the email address you give us for the newsletter.

When you visit the website. The pages you open, the device and browser you use, and a general idea of where you are (city level). This comes from cookies and analytics, described below. It does not include your name unless you sign in.

When you sign in with Google or Facebook. Your name, email address and profile picture, as those services share them. Nothing else from those accounts, and we never post on your behalf.

How we use it

To hold your reservation and get your table ready. To take and deliver your orders and club wines. To confirm you are of legal drinking age. To answer your questions. To send the quarterly newsletter and occasional news about releases, events and the club, which you can stop at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email. To keep the records that Texas and federal alcohol and tax rules require of a winery. To understand which pages of the website people use, so we can improve it.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone to market their own products to you.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that help us do the things above, and only what each needs: Commerce7, the reservation, club and store system that holds our customer records; our payment processor; the carriers that deliver shipped wine; the service that sends our emails; and Google and Meta, only for the sign-in and analytics described in this policy. Each is bound to protect your information and to use it only for our winery. We also share information when the law requires it, for example with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission or a court.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Ours remember that you confirmed your age, keep your cart and sign-in while you shop, and, through Google Analytics, count visits and show us which pages are used. Analytics records pages viewed and general device and location information, not your name. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on; the website keeps working either way, though you may need to confirm your age again.

Signing in with Google or Facebook

If you choose Sign in with Google or Continue with Facebook, that service confirms who you are and gives us your name, email address and profile picture so we can match you to your winery account or create one. We store those three things and nothing else from the service. You can disconnect us at any time in your Google account under Security, third-party apps, or in Facebook under Settings, Apps and websites. Disconnecting does not delete your winery account; the section below explains how to do that.

Deleting your data

You can ask us to delete your information at any time, including anything we received when you signed in with Google or Facebook. Email wineclub@eotlvineyard.com from the email address on your account with the subject line Delete my data, or call 940-726-3785 during tasting room hours.

Within 30 days we will close your winery account and remove your name, contact details, saved addresses, newsletter subscription and any Google or Facebook sign-in connection, and we will confirm by email when it is done. One exception: records of purchases, shipments and club memberships that Texas and federal alcohol and tax rules require a winery to keep stay in our books for the period the law sets, generally up to four years, and are then deleted. Those records are kept for compliance only and are not used to contact you.

Your choices

You can see and correct most of your information yourself by signing in at My winery account. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link at the bottom of any email, or by asking us. You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, using the contact details on this page. We answer within 30 days and never charge for it.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account or a club membership with us, and afterwards only as long as the alcohol and tax rules above require. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Website analytics are kept in summary form for up to two years.

Children and age

Our website, tasting room and club are for adults 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top. For a change that matters to you, such as a new use of your information, we will also tell you by email.
