Edge of the Lake Vineyard is located in Valley View, Texas on Lake Ray Roberts. Just a short drive from Historic Downtown Denton and less than an hour from the DFW Metroplex.
EOTL is home to 13 cultivated and planted acres of grapevines. Based upon the similarity in weather and soil between our location and Spain, we proudly grow only Spanish grapes. Our vineyard is home to Tempranillo, Grenache, Albarino, and Malbec which thrive and grow with great vigor in Texas.
Inspired by the grapevines his grandmother grew when he was young, Dr. Fred Cummings began planting in 2011 with the hopes of building a family business and leaving a legacy for his children. Over many years of trial and error we are well on our way to providing Texas grown grapes and wine! Dr. Cummings, along with his son Chris McIntosh and Vineyard Master Greg Davis, all completed their coursework in Viticulture and Enology from Grayson College in the Spring of 2019.
Our goal at Edge of the Lake is to establish ourselves as an excellent grape grower and wine producer that sets us apart from our counterparts in California.
